According to the court records, Kilgore was alleged to have robbed and assaulted Mr. Ogle on June 8, 2010 in Cambridge.  After a lengthy investigation by Guernsey County Sheriff’s Office Detectives, Kilgore was charged in November, 2010.

Kilgore received eight (8) years on the underlying crimes, three (3) years on a gun specification and one (1) year on a repeat violent offender specification for a total sentence of twelve (12) years, according to Daniel G. Padden, Prosecuting Attorney.  Padden stated that several of the similar charges were merged for sentencing purposes.

“The entire Guernsey County Sheriff’s Office should be commended for their outstanding work in this case,” said Padden.  “A key piece of evidence, a bandana upon which was found Kilgore’s DNA, was located by Deputies some distance from the residence, and that helped to resolve the case,” said Padden.

Kilgore was remanded to the Ohio Department of Corrections to begin serving his sentence.

Guernsey County Prosecuting Attorney, Daniel G. Padden, today announced that on March 29, 2012, nine (9) Indictments were returned by the Grand Jury and of those five (5) are secret.  All are summoned to appear in the Guernsey County Common Pleas Court for an arraignment on April 19, 2012 at 1:00 p.m.

According to the Indictment, Hogue was alleged to have had sexual contact with two minor children, each under the age of 13, between May and July, 2011.  Upon the matter being reported, the Cambridge Police Department began an investigation and executed a search warrant at Hogue’s residence on N. 8^th Street in Cambridge, Ohio where evidence of the alleged crimes was seized.

At the sentencing hearing, testimony was presented to the court which corroborated the victims’ statements.  As a result, the sentence of the Defendant is mandatory.

Hogue was remanded into the custody of the Sheriff to be transported to the Orient Correction Reception Center.

According to prosecuting attorney Daniel G. Padden, numerous pretrial matters were previously argued before the court.  “Cases involving young victims are especially difficult to prosecute,” said Padden, “but with the assistance of the victims’ family, the Haven of Hope and the Cambridge Police Department, a successful resolution of this case was achieved.”

Judge David Ellwood ordered that a presentence investigation be prepared by the Court prior to sentencing which has been scheduled for March 19, 2012 at 1:00 p.m.
